Overview of the tour in Ribadesella

The International Descent of the Sella has become the main festival of Asturias, positioning itself as the only internationally recognized event in the region. Let's delve into its origins and intriguing facets.

Our journey then takes us to the old town of Ribadesella, declared a historic-artistic site in 1973. Arriving at the Plaza de María Cristina, we delve into the life of Agustín Arguelles, a prominent politician and key figure in the Cadiz Constitution of 1812.

Starting from the town hall, our route guides us to the Church of Santa María Magdalena, leading us directly to the Princesa Leticia promenade. Did you know that the current Queen of Spain is an adopted daughter of Ribadesella?

Continuing our tour, we will admire a panoramic view of the estuary before walking towards the walkway of the cranes. This picturesque path leads us to the lighthouse, offering the opportunity to delve into the history of Ribadesella. Along the way, we will come across the whimsical and amusing murals of the artist Mingote Barrachina, which provide a unique perspective of the town's history.
