Overview
The Classical Tour - Friday and Saturday.
Get your basics to Brazilian cuisine! Start with a Feijoada, the national dish, a pork and black beans stew of Portuguese origin heavily influenced by the African slaves. Follow up with the beloved picanha, a rump steak that is a favorite. Follow with coxinha de galinha (chicken fried dumplings), pão de queijo (cheese bread), and finish with a brigadeiro (chocolate truffle)!
The Exotic Tour - Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday.
For the bold and daring! Begin with carne seca com aipim for a Northeastern flavor (sun-dried meat with cassava), taste a linguíça mineira (sausage from Minas Gerais), dare a chicken heart skewer and coalho cheese, finishing with a healthy açaí bowl!
Brazilian cuisine inspired by immigrants - Tuesday and Thursday.
For the curious! Originally brought by immigrants decades ago, these are now 100% Brazilian. Begin medalhão com arroz à piamontesa - a cheesy and wine risotto - (Italy), a big Beirute sandwich (Middle East), eat pastéis of different flavors (China), and finish with a sweet esfiha (Middle East)!
This activity includes:

Our Guides
On arrival
I will be waiting with a colored umbrella at the entrance of Avenue Olegário Maciel - as it is the main pub and restaurant venue in Barra, all locals know where it is located. I will be standing in front of Pattada restaurant.
Things to note
All tours include a welcome caipirinha, a 600 ml beer bottle per person or equivalent in each bar, and some shots. If you do not drink alcohol, you can always switch to water, soft drinks, or juices. Otherwise, these items are extra and paid separately.
Unfortunately, this tour cannot be adapted to vegetarians and vegans. If you are interested in doing the tour, but your partner or friend is a vegetarian or vegan, please book for only one person (or the number of non-vegetarians interested in doing the tour). Your partner is welcome to walk along and he or she can order food separately, as the restaurants can provide vegetarian and vegan options.
For groups larger than 10 people, please let me know as soon as possible your intention in doing the tour so I can reserve and guarantee tables at the restaurants. This is especially important from Thursday to Saturday.
Should your party be the only reservation on the day, the tour can be changed and adapted between the Classic, the Exotic, and the Brazilian cuisine influenced by immigrants.
Feijoada is a dish only served during lunchtime on weekends. If you wish to do a night tour on a Friday or a Saturday, everything else can be as scheduled, but the Feijoada will be replaced with a Baião de Dois (a Northeastern stew).
