Situated on the southern flank of Pedra da Gávea, Garganta do Céu's rock formation creates a stunning natural backdrop and a vantage point offering a unique perspective of São Conrado beach, Morro Dois Irmãos, and the ocean.

Though slightly shorter, the Garganta do Céu walk starts at the same location as the classic Pedra da Gávea trail. Because of its steeper terrain and increased need for assistance, the hike is regarded as more challenging.

We will traverse a number of steep natural barriers in the densely forested area before arriving at Garganta do Céu, a cave with one of the most breathtaking views of Rio de Janeiro. In the center of Tijuca National Park's Atlantic woodland, we will descend down the same trail after pausing for thought, resting, and taking lots of pictures.

Get a transport (uber, taxi) to Estr. Sorimã - Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro - RJ, 22611-030.
Ask the driver to drop you at the end of Sorimã Street, and You'll see the National Park entrance to your right.
