On arrival
The meeting point will be at the Entry of the Carioca Tram station close to the Carioca Metro station.
Things to note
If the tram service is not available for some reason, we will have to suspend the trip.
The tickets for the tram are not included, so each one will have to purchase his/her own ticket. Today it cost 20 Reais each.
We will go by tram to the heart of Santa Teresa, walk around 3 to 4 Km approximately to the main attractions, and finally go down the Selarón stairway. Depending on the pace, we can continue to the Lapa Aqueduct and/or the closest metro station in Cinelândia.
As we will walk quite a bit, small children may not be able to do it without the adult's aid. The surface will not always be flat, for the streets are made of stone. We will not have heavy hills but just a few ups and downs.
Take your sunblock, mosquito repellent, and some water to drink during the trip.
Remember, this is a tipping tour, so take some pocket money for that.
