Overview of the tour in Rome
1)Colosseum: Begin your tour at the Flavian Amphitheatre, commonly known as the Colosseum. Constructed in the 1st century AD, it is the largest amphitheater ever built and a symbol of the might of the Roman Empire. This monumental structure hosted gladiatorial combats, animal hunts, and other public spectacles.
2)Via dei Fori Imperiali: This scenic road, approximately 900 meters long, connects the Colosseum with Piazza Venezia. Along the way, you can admire the ruins of the Imperial Forums, built by various emperors to celebrate their victories and power. It is a true open-air museum.
3)Capitoline Hill: The tour concludes at Capitoline Hill, one of Rome’s seven hills. Here, you will find the square designed by Michelangelo, featuring the Palazzo Senatorio, the seat of the Roman municipal government, and the Capitoline Museums, which house a rich collection of art and archaeological artifacts.
