Overview

We will start at the Giuseppe Mazzini monument and with stories of life in ancient Rome. We will see the Circo Massimo, an ancient stadium for chariot races, and have a perfect view of the Palatine Hill, home to the rich and powerful in ancient times. We will then wander through the peaceful Aventine Hill, admiring elegant villas and gardens, visit the charming Orange Garden, featured in the Oscar-winning film "The Great Beauty," and learn about the magic keyhole through which you see three countries at once!

We will learn how Monte Testaccio was created with 25 million broken amphorae and tell you about the area's industrial past and trendy present. “Great tour!”

“Such a lovely Tour”

I did the free walking tour An Italian dolce vita and I really liked it. Especially the spots which were not that touristic and filled with local people. The highlight was the rose garden and food market in Testaccio. The tour guide was super nice and provided some nice stories and fun facts. I fully recommend this tour. ????
