Overview

Welcome to a tour with a different vision, where you will know the hidden face of the Christianization of Rome. How the Popes are turning a completely pagan city into a Christian city: the Rome of today.

A tour for those explorers who have an open mind and want to know how a religion is imposed, where the Bible is confronted with History. At no time is anyone disrespected for their religious beliefs, nor is the information offered a personal view. In History great crimes have been committed and this tour tries to make them known.

We will remember the origin of Christianity and how they begin to have contact with the great world powers. We will discover some of its legends to indoctrinate the faithful as the Bocca della Verità.

We will enter the Ghetto of Rome discovering the B side of Christianization and we will get lost in its streets full of history and reality.

We will make a pilgrimage to the foot of Castel Sant'Angelo with the Vatican's Dome of San Pietro in the background, through its hidden alleys to get to know a different Rome.

“I recommend ”
Very good guide, you can feel the experience. A lot of information about the history of the creation and development of Christianity from the historical point of view. Highly recommended if you are interested in the real history of the institution and characters. Very complete tour, you can see Ivan's passion for history.

“100% recommended”
It has been a long time since I was on a tour where I was left with my mouth open. Ivan is a crack, in these 3 hours, apart from seeing wonders not so well known, I have learned with great pleasure the B side of the history of the Church in Rome, and I loved it, I would have stayed many hours more listening to Ivan, he is a charm and one of the best guides I've ever met! I recommend it, but you have to have an open mind!

“A must-see tour ”
We took the tour of the B side of the church with Ivan as our guide and it was an amazing experience. It offers an alternative and unconventional view of religion and history, as well as a unique narrative tour that moves away from the more repetitive routes in Rome, uncovering lesser known but fascinating stories. Ivan demonstrated an impressive knowledge, explaining everything in a clear and entertaining way, with lots of curious facts that enriched the tour. In addition, he knew how to connect perfectly with the group, creating a close and dynamic atmosphere. Undoubtedly, a different tour that we recommend 100%.

“Brutal!”
We loved EVERYTHING. Ivan is an incredible person, close, passionate and has a way of transmitting that moves the bowels, which is not easy to talk about these topics. We loved the tour, the explanations, the curiosities.... She makes you participate at all times, asking questions that make you think and we loved it. When we finished we realized that 3 hours had passed and we hadn't even realized it! It was a pity to meet him the last day we were in Rome. If we come back we already have a 100% guide Thank you so much!

“100% recommendable”
Very interesting visit, in which Ivan makes you question things that have been told so far in a different way. He showed us very interesting places with their corresponding history, which are not the typical ones you visit. We have done two tours with Ivan and we think he is the best because he makes the visits very enjoyable, tells the story in a very interesting way and also gives you tips on where to go to eat, drink, etc. Thank you very much for everything Ivan. See you on the next trip to Rome!

“Power and Religion ”
Best tour I did in Rome. It should have been done before any visit to museums and churches in Rome! It didn't go on to make empty criticisms of churches or faiths. But he did explain episodes in which faith was used to abuse power. Very interesting.
