One Day Tour from Samarkand to Shakhrisabz: Motherland of Amir Temur
Overview of the tour in Samarkand
What to expect:
- Valley of Demons. There are huge boulders and strange stones scattered throughout the valley, and they have fantastic shapes reminiscent of either the faces of demons, the features of pagan deities, or the figures of wild animals.
- “Heart-stone” - With a hole in the shape of a heart, created by nature with the help of the wind of the currents of many years, located 30 km south of Samarkand, on the road to Amankutana.
- Ak-shed. Aksaray was built by Amir Temur's order after his campaign against Khorezm. The estimated start of construction of the monument is 1379, and at the moment, only two separate entrance portals, whose height is more than 40 meters, have been preserved.
-Darus Saodat complex. This complex arose after the death of Amir Temur's eldest son, Jahangir. Now, the ensemble consists of several buildings - a mosque, a mausoleum, a room for pilgrims, three gates, and tombs.
- Kuk Gumbaz Mosque In 1435, the largest mosque in Shakhrisabz was opened. This mosque was built on the foundation of a pre-Mongol mosque and presents a striking example of the Persian style.
