Cultural & Historical Free Tour in San Salvador
Overview
What will we visit?
-Plaza Gerardo Barrios (tour starting point in front of the National Library )
-Plaza Libertad, where the city was founded
-El Rosario Church (Entrance NOT included: $1 USD for locals, $2 USD for foreigners)
-Metropolitan Cathedral
-Archbishop Romero’s Crypt
-Central Market, you’ll have the chance to taste traditional Salvadoran dishes.
Keep in mind:
*Wear comfortable shoes for a 2-hour 45 to 3-hour walk.
*Bring 1 litre of water or buy it in a nearby store. Don’t forget sunscreen and consider bringing a hat.
*Come ready to meet other travellers and learn about San Salvador’s history.

We will meet right in front of the building of the National Library of El Salvador BINAES.
I will also contact you on your cell phone the day of the tour.
Also our guides usually wear shirts of our agency Traveling Souls or t-shirts of El Salvador.
Things to note
What do you need for the tour?
- Comfortable clothes, walking shoes and sun block as we will be walking for more than 2 hours.
- Water and your cell phone
- Don't forget to bring cash for tickets at the Rosario Church (The opening to the public of these places may vary due to religious services and events). We suggest bringing the equivalent of $10 dollars in cash to avoid any inconvenience.
- If it is raining, don't forget your umbrella.
- If it is super hot, don't forget your umbrella.
