Overview of the tour in Santa Ana
We will visit the Santa Ana Cathedral, an architectural jewel of neo-Gothic style, as well as the municipal theater, with its eclectic style that reached its splendor in 1910 thanks to the design of great engineers, architects and the contribution of outstanding European masters. We will also explore Central Square, which is full of history and linked to the colonial development of the 1700s, with emblematic buildings for our culture.
We will tour the colonial houses that evoke the legacy of coffee exports in our city. We will visit the central square, which was once under the influence of the Holy Inquisition, as well as heroic schools that were transformed into barracks during the revolution of 1944.
We will discover the story of David Granadino, a teacher and musician who composed the waltz Bajo el Almendro, considered the anthem of Santa Ana, whose score was written on one of the benches in Libertad Park.
We will take a tour of the historic center to discover its history and the importance of its emblematic buildings. In addition, we will visit different places in the square where typical and delicious dishes of our city are offered.
