Overview of the tour in Santander

Welcome to Santander, the "most beautiful bay in the world". Come and experience the city as the locals do. The one of the docks, fishermen and rowers; "The bride of the sea". - We will start at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento to go to the Mercado de La Esperanza and see the day to day life and the local gastronomy. You will feel the gazuza! - We will visit the Church of the Annunciation and the Cathedral of Santander, where Santander "married" the sea. This city is full of details! - Every relationship has bad moments. In the Plaza de Alfonso XIII we will see the most dramatic moments, such as the explosion of Cape Machichaco or the Great Fire of 1941! - The good part. We will wander through the Jardines de Pereda, the Plaza de la Porticada, the Plaza de Pombo or the Mercado de Oriente, scenes of the greatest bonanza. - The Arrabal could not miss; home of sailors where you can still feel the waves, boats and raqueros with hurrias. Gazuza, hurra,...? Don't be fooled when you read this. You will understand that we Cantabrians do not have our own official language, but we have the best local words!
