Overview of the tour in Santiago

Come and visit the Quebrada Macul Natural Park. Beautiful and interesting place minutes away from Santiago. In this experience you will experience the mountains and nature near Santiago, with beautiful views of its hills and landscapes.

I will pick you up early in the morning at Quilín Metro Station, Line 4, and then we will head to Quebrada de Macul. We will start the ascent at the foot of the San Ramon and Punta de Damas hills.

We will begin the experience walking through a forest of peumos and litres, on the banks of a stream, to then continue our excursion and try to reach the waterfall that is located inside the Quebrada de Macul.

I will show you the different types of birds present in the area, you will learn to identify and recognize them by their songs and sounds. You will learn about different types of native plants, as well as their uses and diverse properties.

Chile has been described as "a place of corners" and, in this experience, you will have the opportunity to get to know some of these corners in a different way.

On arrival

The meeting point will be at Quilín Station, on line 4 of the Santiago Metro
We will meet at the east exit of the Quilín metro station.

From the meeting point we will leave by vehicle to the Quebrada de Macul Natural Park, where we will do the Tour.
Once the tour is finished I will leave you back at the meeting point so you can continue visiting the city.

Things to note

The tour consists of a hiking excursion in the central Andes of Chile. We will climb gradually through a ravine in which you can learn about various aspects of the flora and fauna of Chile. This is a tour in which you will get to know different aspects of the Chilean nature.
We will try to reach a small waterfall at the end of the ravine, and then return along the same path, with a small detour that passes near a stream in the area.
As this is a mountain excursion, it is advisable to bring appropriate footwear for this type of excursion.
In the mountain range there is a lot of sun, so it is recommended to bring a sun hat and a good sunscreen. In case of taking the tour during the winter, in the morning it is quite cold, so it is advisable to bring warm clothes and a backpack to carry water and the snack provided on the tour.
