My name is Aleksandra. I am an art historian and archaeologist and I am passionate about the history and culture of my hometown, Skopje. On my tour, you will find plenty of information spanning from the oldest traces of life in Skopje to the present day, filled with fascinating details about archaeology, old architecture, and history, all wrapped in very interesting stories.

Skopje Free Walking & Sightseeing Tour is free of charge ( tips welcomed / tip-based)

All you need is to wear comfortable shoes (no high heels) and show up at the meeting point.

To identify our tour guide, he or she will wear a blue ID badge around his or her neck and be located at the designated meeting point.
Start time at 10 am. Tour duration approx 3 hours.

“Simply perfect.”

The tour was simply great, very informative, we were able to ask lots of questions and got answers to everything. Aleksandra really knows how to cater to the needs of her group and even agreed to share a coffee with us. We'd love to do it again.

“Magnificent tour with a wonderful guide”

Aleksandra’s tour was magnificent! Our group was a mix of people living in Skopje their whole lives, visitors on their 2-3 trip to Macedonia and first-time visitors. All of us learned so much! I have travelled to many different countries and have been on tours before – but this one was by far the best one! Aleksandra is deeply knowledgeable, dedicated and friendly. The tour felt like a journey back in time and we were immersed in the rich history and culture of Skopje and Macedonia. Aleksandra is a wonderful storyteller that knows how to connect many different aspects – art, history, culture, rituals, nature…We loved every second and we were all enriched by her knowledge and passion. Aleksandra, we cannot thank you enough and we cannot wait to attend your tours again!

“A great tour that I would recommend!”

Aleksandra was so passionnate about showing us her city, knew so much and had so many good recommendations! At the end of the tour she really felt like a friend, and sent extra information about the city by text. The only recommendation I would have is to make it clearer to everyone that it is tip-based, more support is deserved!

“Exceptional tour ”

This was my fourth visit to Skopje and I wanted to learn more about the history of the Macedonian capital. This fascinating tour really gave me all the information I needed including ancient history, famous landmarks, current affairs, local cuisine, peoples and even some inside tips. Alexandra was an exceptional tour guide providing the necessary information in a friendly, positive and efficient manner. It was like strolling around the city with an old friend and her love for Skopje and Macedonia really shone through.
