Stockholm Old Town Free Tour
Overview of the tour in Stockholm
We will walk the narrow and winding streets of the Old Town and try to understand how life was in the old days. I will provide a historical background and show the attractions, details, and houses.
We will see most of the things worth seeing in the Old Town. We will not be a huge group (maximum 15 adults) as I prefer a more personal tour, so there will be time for questions and maybe some chit-chat. Hopefully, we will have a really good time, and you will learn a thing or two. I love showing people my hometown, Stockholm, so I hope to see you soon.
This activity includes:
- The Royal Palace
- Österlånggatan 17
- S:ta Gertrud, Tyska kyrkan
- Iron Boy - Boy watching the moon
- Stortorget
- Storkyrkan
- Slussen
On arrival
We meet at Skeppsbron Quay, which is close to where Slussbron (The Golden Bridge) starts. Take the stairs from Slussbron down to the Skeppsbron quay. I will be next to the water, showing a sign saying "Freetours Göran." See you there!
Things to note
Good walking shoes will make the tour more enjoyable. The tour is approximately 4-5 kilometres long, but we will have short stops now and then.
The closest underground station to the meeting point is Slussen.
At Stadsmuseet (The Town Museum), located at Slussen, you will find toilets (if the museum is open). The museum is free of charge and worth a visit.
