Overview
Our tour to Kazbegi will start at 09:00 am in Tbilisi. Our guide and driver will meet you at the appointed place and time.
The first stop, and you immediately find yourself in the abyss of fabulous beauty.
This is the Zhinvali reservoir, which contains 520 million cubic meters of turquoise-colored water that fills the beautiful gorge. Eye-catching.
Along the way, we will visit the architectural complex of Ananuri, which was the former residence of the princes of Aragvi. The churches and medieval towers of Ananuri rise majestically above the Zhinvali reservoir, embraced by the slopes of the Caucasus Mountains.
We continue the tour with a stop at the confluence of two mountain rivers near the village of Pasanauri. Time to have lunch in a cozy place with beautiful views. Our journey will continue through the Cross Pass to Gudauri, stopping at the panoramic observation deck of the Soviet period “Friendship of Peoples,” which offers a picturesque view of the deep gorge of the Caucasus Range.
In Gudauri, we will taste local honey. We arrive in Kazbegi and take off-road vehicles to the Gergeti Trinity Church, located at an altitude of 2170 meters above sea level.
