Enjoy our incredible tour through this historical city! We will drive to the gorgeous city of Mtskheta an ancient capital of Georgia. This whole city is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites. Along the way, we will stop to visit the masterpiece of Early Christian architecture - Jvari Monastery (6th AD), which is the first Orthodox Church in Georgia. From the church hill, you will see two rivers intersect and form a delta.
Walk along the narrow streets of Mtskheta capturing the spectacular buildings at every corner. Then head to the amazing Svetitskhoveli Cathedral which is known as a place where Christ’s robe was buried. After that, we will see allure Uplistsikhe (6th BC), an ancient rock-hewn town, with the ancient settlement and city center in the Caucasus. Uplistsikhe and its surrounding are a group of great archaeological and architectural monuments, the oldest of which dates back to the early Bronze Age, and are considered to be relics of the Kura-Araxes culture.
