Overview of the tour in Toledo

The Cathedral of Santa Maria de Toledo, built in 1226 over an ancient Visigothic temple and a mosque. We will begin by seeing the main façade, famous for its monumental doors. Our attention will be drawn to the Lions' Gate due to the set of statues that crown the top.

As we walk through the temple, we will admire its illuminated cloister. Despite being of Catholic tradition, this cathedral has a certain Muslim influence. Will you be able to notice the architectural elements that seem to be taken from a mosque?

Inside the cathedral we will discover the beauty of the choir, the main altar, the sacristy and the chapter house, where religious practice takes place. Children under 9 years old are free on the tour.
We will get to know one of the most important buildings of the Christian culture that curiously is built on the remains of an ancient Muslim temple.

-Entrance to the Cathedral of Toledo.
-General Admission to the Cathedral: 12 € adults. Children from 8 to 14 years old 6 €. Children under 8 years free. Seniors over 65 years old 8 € (optional to enter)
