Overview of the tour in Trogir
The extraordinary Cathedral of St. Lawrence is one of its kind in Croatia. Its intricate Portal, built in 1242, is a masterpiece of Romanesque art in Europe. We will observe the Portal in detail and decipher its symbols, including griffons, gargoyles, and mermaids.
The fascinating journey into Trogir's past continues inside the church, where we will discover ancient graffiti and learn about some incredible legends. Finally, the outstanding chapel of Blessed John of Trogir will introduce you to the heyday of Trogir, the Renaissance era.
The Baptistry will impress you with its Roman-temple-like features and numerous optical illusions.
Finally, we will get some amazing views of Trogir, the island town from the bell tower.
