Overview of the tour in Vigo

Get ready to discover Vigo, a very unique city, embedded in its own estuary and with the spectacular Cíes Islands in the background.

Our freetour visit begins in the very heart of the city, at Plaza Puerta del Sol, where we will take the opportunity to explain the history and evolution from a small Celtic settlement to what is today the largest city in all of Galicia thanks to the Atlantic Ocean. The Mermaid sculpture explains this perfectly.

From here we will go to the fortress of San Sebastián, one of the city's symbols and from where we will see spectacular views of Vigo's estuary. Afterwards we will make a stop at the centenary Olive tree and then onwards towards the cobbled streets of the Older part of the city. We will see the best-known squares and will explain the meaning and reason for each one of them, as well as many other curiosities about the history of Vigo.

Our visit will end on the banks of the estuary itself, walking along the promenade that will take us to our final point with one of the most famous writers of world literature. Do you already know who he is?

Book a spot as soon as possible and enjoy Vigo with us. At the end, you are free to price the visit.

This activity includes:

  • Praza Porta do Sol
  • Castelo de San Sebastián
  • O Sereo
