In this tour an authentic Galician shellfish harvester will show you how she does her job.
You will enjoy a walk along the beach in the surroundings of the natural park of the Atlantic islands and the beautiful village of Carril, while you discover how the shellfish is harvested.

We will start the visit from the breakwater of the beach, with an exhibition of the different fishing gear and a brief demonstration of how they are used.
You will discover what are the spring tides and how to differentiate the different species of clams so that "you do not get taken for a pig in a poke".
From how to become a shellfish gatherer to what this dangerous profession consists of and always accompanied by first-hand anecdotes.
We will walk to the Alameda Vella Park, next to the fish market, where you will learn about the final process: the sale and auction of seafood.
At the end you will enjoy a beautiful view of the island of Cortegada and its laurel forest.
