Overview of the tour in Windhoek
A vist to the township of Katutura gives the international tourist a very good insight into the history of pre-colonial and colonial Windhoek and the apartheid Windhoek as well as Windhoek today.
Tourists are able to explore Katutura and see it through the eyes of local residents by walking in the company of a guide who understands its history and current events that shape Katutura in the 21st century. Informal markets, settlements, and a local shebeen are part of the experience.
