The Magic of the Slavic World: Legends and Customs
Overview of the tour in Wroclaw
Did you know that the Poles belong to the largest Indo-European group on our continent, the Slavs?
From the 6th century onwards, different Slavic communities began to populate this part of Europe to give rise to what would later be known as the Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Russian, Slovak, or Polish peoples.
Poland, which from the 10th century onwards was baptized as a Catholic country, still preserves in its culture an exotic mixture of pagan and Christian customs. With everyday life full of superstitions, we unconsciously cultivate old traditions and rites of our ancestors, creating whole worlds of legends and mythical creatures.
If you want to learn about the magical cycle of our year and the festivals we celebrate, get into the atmosphere of our daily customs, discover what we believe in and what we used to believe in centuries ago, as well as get to know us in a closer way, this is a must-see! With this tour, you will discover the magic of Slavic life and experience unique and surprising festivities. In addition, you will enter a world-famous world of ghosts that you may not know as well as you thought.
