4. Schloss Charlottenburg
Charlottenburg palace is the largest, and arguably most beautiful, palace in Berlin. Located in the Charlottenburg district and boasting a large vestibule and tower with a gilded statue of Fortune on the top, it dates from the end of the 17th Century and, as a result of various occupiers throughout its history, its interior demonstrates the hallmarks of a mix of styles of decorations, including Rocco and Baroque, which complement beautifully the articles within, including the world-renowned KPM Porcelain collection.
Closed on Mondays and open from 10am to 5pm (6pm in busy season) entrance costs €12 or €8 for students. Not exactly cheap by Berlin standards but absolutely worth-while if you have an interest in exquisite interiors.
